Advisory Boards
The success of the College of Fine Arts is in no small measure a tribute to its community advisory boards. The College of Fine Arts Dean's Board and the four School boards - Art, Dance, Music and Theatre Arts, - serve as important links to the community.
Certainly the dedicated volunteers of these boards make a difference with their generous contributions, their benefit projects, and their fundraising efforts on behalf of special opportunities. Furthermore, the hard-working board members serve constantly as ambassadors and advocates for their respective areas.
The College applauds the board chairs for their leadership and all board members for their active, visible support during the past year. Hats off to our community of more than 175 active volunteers!
College of Fine Arts Board
The purpose of the Dean’s Board of The University of Arizona College of Fine Arts is to support the dean, faculty and students by creating linkages with the community and assisting the College achieve its vision for the future.
The role of the members of the Dean’s Board is threefold:
· To be advocates, informing the community about the College and its mission by communicating with individual and corporate friends, legislators, other arts organizations and members of the UA administration and introducing others to the work of the College at performances, exhibits and special events;
· To be contributors to the College through membership in the Medici Circle, supporting the Dean’s Fund for Excellence;
· To be fundraisers, participating in fundraising events, projects and activities across the College, recruiting members for the Medici Circle and helping with the cultivation of major donors.
